Tec-Thane III High Solids, High Build Polyurethane Enamels

Description:

HSU SeriesTec-Thane Iii High Solids, High Build Polyurethane EnamelsTec-thane III is a two-component modified-acrylic urethane enamel having unsurpassed gloss and color retention. The hard slick Tec-thane film is very resistant to dirt , stains, acids, alkalis, solvents and petroleum fuels. Provides "wet look" depth of gloss with no clear coat and faster handle times than other high-depth urethanes.

Recommended Uses:

Designed for use in the transportation,chemical processing, oil field, marine, bridge, steel tank and miscellaneous equipment industries. An excellent top coat over epoxy coatings where gloss and color retention is paramount. Can be used over properly prepared primed and unprimed metal, masonry, fiberglass, plastic and wood. Dries quickly with outstanding gloss. Has outstanding acid resistance.

Recommended Primers:

DTM: performs well on clean metal

Iron/Steel: Severe Environments:

TS-140 Epoxy Primer (thinfilm)
E-6002 Epoxy Primer (high-build film)
E-8001Epoxy Primer (best chemical resistance)

Wood: This product is self priming: apply 2 coats
Aluminum/Galvanized: TS-140, E6002 or E-8001
Masonry: E-6002 or E-8001
Fiberglass: This product is self priming: apply 2 coats or TS-140 Epoxy Primer may be applied.
Environmental Codes:

Designed for use in the transportation, chemical processing, oil field, marine, bridge, steel tank and miscellaneous equipment industries. An excellent top coat over epoxy coatings where gloss and color retention is paramount. Can be used overproperly prepared and primed metal, masonry, plastic and wood.

Recommended Primers:

Iron/Steel: TS-140 (severe environments) or P-523 (mild environments) Wood: This product is self priming; apply 2 coats
Aluminum/Galvanized: TS-140 Epoxy Primer and E-6002 Epoxy Primer Masonry: E-6002 Epoxy Primer
Fiberglass: This product is self priming, apply 2 coats or TS-140 Epoxy Primer may be applied.

Exposure:

Florida exterior: 12 months- 94% gloss retention
24 months- 78% gloss retention

Tec-Thane Aliphatic Polyurethane

Description:

Tec-thane polyester polyurethane is a high gloss, high performance, coating which exhibits outstanding resistance to spillage and fumes from most chemicals, acids, alkalis, solvents and water.

Recommended Uses:

For use on steel tank exteriors, galvanized steel, equipment and structures, non-ferrous metals, concrete and masonry in highly corrosive environments or for prolonged exterior exposure. It is the finish coat in TCI's floor system. This product is also a performance alternate to MIL-C-83286 and MIL-PRF-85285.

Recommended Primer:

E-8001 Epoxy Primer for severe or TS-140 for less severe environments.

Tec-Thane Moisture-Cured Polyurethane Sealer

Description:

This single component, moisture cured urethane is an amber-colored clear sealer which provides excellent hardness, and abrasion and chemical resistance.

Recommended Uses:

Ideally suited for concrete or any area requiring a hard, clear sealer.

Tec-Thane Clear Coat& Graffiti Shield

Description:

Tec-thane Graffiti Shield is a hard and durable, clear aliphatic polyurethane coating formulated to resist a wide variety of chemicals including most graffiti while at the same time protecting the underlying substrate.

Recommended Uses:

For use over properly prepared new metal, wood and masonry as well as previously painted surfaces. Provides a surface which allows for easy cleanup with common paint solvents and cleaners. Resists splash, fumes and spillage in aggressive chemical atmospheres.
